Brandis Allison {photoBLOG}: {18 Months Old}

Bug (my son's nickname) is now 18 months old and has grown up so much since our last photo shoot at 16 months. He's talking up a storm and saying "Momma, Dad Dad, Milk, Yes, No, Sissy, YEA (with much enthusiasm, ha) and a few other fun ones. He is so shy, so it's difficult to get him to say new things, but he is more of a chatterbox since his sister arrived almost 7 weeks ago. And the boy loves to read! We seriously read 10 books or more a day. Granted they are the small, preschool books or Elmo related, but he loves that time with mommy and daddy. Here he is, doing what he loves to do best. These photos capture his little personality perfectly!

After playing on a really cool tree stump, we headed deep into Goodale Park and found a beautiful brick building. I quickly spotted a beautiful redish-orange door and Bug loves to "knock on wood" or anything for that matter, so that's where we headed. Sure enough he ran up the stairs and started knocking on the door! Sure hope no one was in there. These next photos are seriously my favorite from all the photographs I've taken since starting photography as a business in May 09.

After much convincing, I got him away from the door and gates and we found a toddler play area. Very nice playground. Small and quaint, just for the wee little ones. Bug swang and slide down the slide a few times and told me he was ready to go home. It was hot out. On our long walk back to the car, we spotted an odd-shaped tree and the kid loves sticks. This tree had dangling tree limbs and he was in heaven!
