Hi! I seriously am so flattered and still shaking my head in disbelief while I write this. Due to the high volume of emails I get weekly asking me to mentor an aspiring photographer or to share tips and tricks, I've decided to start a monthly workshop for everyone who wants insider information on how I edit, process, work...VERY hands on and you will gain valuable experience and practice so that you can hit the ground running with your photography goals.
I want to take a moment to thank all of you who have sent me that email. Thank you for such an amazing compliment in asking my methods, camera gear and business savvy. It means the world to me!
I may not have schooling for photography, but having picked up the camera for the first time in May 2009 and running with my creative eye has definitely given me real world experience. And it's a scary world out there! I have beautiful, famous photography mentors who I've followed for years and absolutely admire. I'd love to share their work with you as well. And finally, I do have a background in Financial Management and was in the mortgage business of over 3 years and in banking for over 5 years. I know how to run a business and how to create an online presence (FOR FREE). Marketing tips and techniques, the works! I'll be blunt and answer all your questions, whatever they may be, very openly and honestly. I may not share my printer with you, but I will give you tips on how to locate someone reliable and who will give you and your clients amazing products.
I'm unable to mentor everyone and answer all emails so what better what to learn than in person, with me? My workshops will be once a month. Inside my studio during the winter months and outside during the spring, summer and fall months. Bring your cameras and laptops and we'll go through photo editing together. I use a simple formula that anyone can follow and just wait til you see what editing program I use...and how cost efficient it is!
Classes to start in January 2010. There will be a per class fee. We will be using our cameras, editing gear and getting one on one mentoring. The nice seasons we will hit the streets in different locations and help build eachother's portfolios! I'll also help you determine your niche if you plan on charging others for your artwork.
This class can be for amateurs, hobbyists or anyone who wants to take better photos with their point n shoot cameras!
