CONGRATULATIONS!!! You’ve taken the plunge and have signed up for a Boudoir Photography Session! How excited are you?! I am just as excited to give you atleast an hour of pampering, fun moments, laughter and of course sexy images. So what’s next?! I’m sure you have a ton of questions. I’ve got the answers!
WHO OWNS THE © TO THE IMAGES?
Brandis Allison does. As soon as the image is created the proofs, negatives, copyright, paperwork and any property relating to that image is owned by the photographer.
DOES THIS MEAN YOU CAN PUBLISH THE IMAGES, SELL THEM OR DISPLAY THEM?
No. Because you are the subject in the image, you do have the right to control what happens to the image. I cannot publish your photos without your permission. You will receive the password to your private online gallery and you will get an emailed contract from me, asking for permission to use specific images for marketing and promotional purposes. If I love your image the most, I may even ask to blow it up really large and use it in my booth at the Bridal Expos!!!
WHO WILL SEE THE IMAGES?
Only Brandis will see your images initially. I am very serious when it comes to your privacy! I do have a 3rd party printer in California and they are 100% compliant with privacy rules and laws. When I send your images to them, they are under my name only and do not disclose any personal information about my client. My printer will see the photos you choose for your book of images as well as any prints, canvases and other products ordered.
WHERE WILL THE PHOTO SHOOT TAKE PLACE?
My studio, Your Home or a Hotel Suite.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
YES, YES, YES!!! I will be traveling to Florida in June 2010 and am open to any location, even exotic ones. Let me know if you want me to visit your area!
WHAT DO I WEAR?
I love neutral colors such as whites & blacks and adding a splash of color with accessories (like fabulous hot pink heels)! You can never ever go wrong with white or black. Red looks amazing with Black too! I tell my girls to arrive in a super cute outfit with something super sexy underneath. We break the ice with taking pics in your clothes, slowly taking them off to reveal the first outfit you have chosen! This is super fun and gets you used to my camera and shooting style.
I AM SOOOOO NERVOUS! CAN I REALLY DO THIS?!
Yes, you can! I’m a laid-back girl and my comfort level will always match your comfort level. Want to go totally nude? Let’s do it! Want me to only photograph your best features or hide some that you just don’t like? I’ll most certainly do that! I will have music playing in the background, champagne, fruit, water, etc available for you. I’ll make you laugh. You’ll tell me all about your love story & all about yourself. You will feel like a supermodel, no matter what your size! We are all beautiful in our own special way and my goal is to capture it and give you one of the most special days ever!
WHAT OUTFITS DO YOU SUGGEST BEING PHOTOGRAPHED IN?
First of all it’s best to bring too much, than too few outfits! We’ll take a moment when you arrive to go over your ideas and choose the best outfits and best locations within the room! Also, here is a list I’ve compiled. Let your imagination run wild!

DO YOU SUPPLY ANY PROPS?
I have a beautiful bed, vintage green chairs, a white leather chaise lounge, black background, white background and other available furniture options. For small props make sure to bring your own.
WHO WILL BE AT THE PHOTO SHOOT?
Brandis is your photographer. That’s it!
HOW LONG IS THE PHOTO SHOOT?
Depends on which package you chose and if you booked hair and make-up. If you book hair and make-up I will block off an extra hour. We’ll discuss outfits while your hair ad make-up are being done, then you’ll have the scheduled amount of camera time and 15 minutes blocked off for clean-up. If you’re appointment is at 11a and you’ve booked 2.5 hours of camera time and hair and make-up, plan on being at the studio until 2:45p-3p.
ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?
Yes! You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in a boudoir session. This rule is enforced 100%! In fact bring your I.D. to your photo shoot. I will be checking it. NO I.D. = NO PHOTO SHOOT and your deposit is forfeited. No exceptions. Period.
