I met Stephanie through my husband and she quickly signed up for holiday photos of her three adorable children. You may remember them from this blog entry. Steph was so sweet and so excited about her new camera, the Nikon D90. Days passed by and as I got to know Steph, I really gained insight into why she has a passion for photography and why she wanted me to mentor her. I simply had to choose her first! I designed her blogsite, header and logo. Then invited her over last night to have a 2.5 hour meeting to learn some post-editing techniques. We also talked about how photography was going to fit into her already hectic life. As she was leaving my house, I felt all warm and fuzzy inside! I can't wait to see her progress and I have a feeling she is going to be up and running in a month's time. She has the passion, the determination and the drive to succeed and I feel so blessed to be able to help her achieve all her goals! Thank you so much Stephanie, for choosing me.
Stephanie and her daughter Kayla participated in the Pretty in Pink Event a couple weeks ago. Kayla brought her American Girl Doll with her. The doll was dressed in a matching cheerleading uniform! SO cute! I may just have to buy Amilya Rae her first AG Doll soon. :)
Kayla was telling me that she hadn't named her doll yet so I started naming off some common names. Finally I got to "Brooke" and she shook her head yes. Now I'm not sure if the doll's name is still Brooke, but for the photo shoot, that was definitely the name we were using.
Where ever Kayla went, Brooke followed. It was so cute and reminded me of my barbie days. And yes we will skip that story! Kayla was showing me some cheer moves and had a smile on her face the entire time. We had so much fun!
and of course Mom hopped in to take a few together.
My last photo to share with you is something I taught Stephanie last night. Color Correction. I typically do not do this unless it's Buckeye/Sports related, but teaching it was really fun. This is the photo I edited for Stephanie. You'll have to visit her blogsite to see which photo she has done! Thanks Steph, for a great first class. Can't wait til we meet next and practice with our cameras!
